MAC Toxic Tale is one of my go-to lipsticks on lazy days. It’s really easy to swipe on because of its Satin finish and creaminess. It doesn’t tug and doesn’t rest on the lines of dry, chappy lips. It’s very pigmented and has full coverage. It lasts hours and leaves a stain. It budges a little when eating/drinking. The shade is a bright coral that leans red.
I browsed Lush’s website looking for soap that doubles as an exfoliant. I found a fair bit that gently scrubs but I chose porridge because of the oats and its moisturising and calming effects. When I went to check it in store, I was pleasantly surprised with how it smells. It was delicious! Sort of milky toffee nutty smell. I tried so hard to restrain myself from taking a bite. The other soaps I checked online didn’t smell as enticing.
The Lush Toothy Tabs, I didn’t intend to buy, but as I was browsing in store I got curious so I purchased it.
I bought this after I got so much disappointment with my last concealer purchase, the Mineralize Concealer from MAC. I wanted something that would brighten my undereye area, a la Kim Kardashian. Despite Chinese sales attendants (I was in Hong Kong) shoving darker concealers to me (all because Custard wasn’t available), I didn’t give in because I don’t want the same MAC fiasco happening (buying, then regretting later).
Good thing I listened to my instincts! Custard is a pretty awesome shade and brightening my undereye is something it can do very easily without having to look overdone like Kim K’s.
I bought this loose powder in a whim; wasn’t really supposed to get it but the Sales Attendant in the NARS counter in Hong Kong said that I’ll qualify for their ongoing promo if I purchase two products for the complexion (I intended to buy the Sheer Glow foundation only). I was supposed to get a free 15 ml NARS Tinted Moisturizer only to find out that she placed only a measly 5 ml sample in my shopping bag. I was annoyed at that for a good month, until I got a full sized one.
Anyway, I’m glad I got this loose powder in Eden because I’ve been using it daily ever since! My setting powder used to be MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Dark. That powder made my makeup thick and my skin oily in four hours, but I kept using it anyway. I didn’t look back ever since I started using NARS loose powder.
When used on its own, the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer only gives very light coverage. This product seems like NARS’ entry to the booming BB and CC cream industry (lol). Of course, it’s expensive compared to other BB creams out there considering that this is priced almost the same as the Sheer Glow foundation. Of course, you get more product at 50 ml compared to 30 ml. Rightfully so, as you would be using more product if you want to have decent coverage.
