MAC Studio Careblend Pressed Powder
Where: MAC Glorietta
Description: Lightweight Powder, comes in MAC’s signature black compact but doesn’t have a puff compartment like the Studiofix Powder Plus Foundation. It comes with a soft powder puff and has a built in mirror inside. Slightly thin, light, and perfect for bringing anywhere.
Perfect to use during touch-ups. I use my Studiofix P+F in the morning before I leave and only bring my Careblend pressed powder. After, say, four hours, I’ll get a bit oily (note: only a bit because my wonderful primer does its job well) and then I’ll use my Careblend powder to powder up on certain shiny areas. The result is a matte, smooth face. I’m so in love with this powder!
Studio Careblend Pressed Powder, Sheer Select Pressed Powder and Blot Powder Comparison:
Studio Careblend: Perfect for touch up for Studiofix, blots oily areas, powder is very light and smooth, more pigmented than Sheer Select, can be used alone over concealer if you want a more natural coverage.
Sheer Select: Perfect for touch up for Studiofix, blots oily areas, sheer, not so pigmented, very light and smooth. Also, if you have a clear skin, it can be used alone. Those with blemishes must use Studio Careblend plus concealer if they want a clearer natural looking skin or Studiofix P+F for a matte, ultra smooth and clear skin.
Blot Powder: Blots oily areas, no coverage at all, can be used to blot oil on top of Studiofix P+F without adding extra powder and colour. Powder isn’t that smooth. Its main purpose is to absorb oil only.
Studio Careblend is perfect for those who want a dual purpose powder as it can blot oil on Studiofix without making your makeup heavy and cakey and it can be used alone for a more natural finish.
