I bought this after I got so much disappointment with my last concealer purchase, the Mineralize Concealer from MAC. I wanted something that would brighten my undereye area, a la Kim Kardashian. Despite Chinese sales attendants (I was in Hong Kong) shoving darker concealers to me (all because Custard wasn’t available), I didn’t give in because I don’t want the same MAC fiasco happening (buying, then regretting later).
Good thing I listened to my instincts! Custard is a pretty awesome shade and brightening my undereye is something it can do very easily without having to look overdone like Kim K’s.
I absolutely love MAC’s formula for their Mineralize Rich lipstick line. If I had to pick only one lipstick formula, it would be that, hands down. Like my first Mineralize Rich lipstick in Style Surge, Elegant Accent still boasts of its amazing hydrating formula that stays up to 6 hours. I don’t know what words to describe this lipstick except, ‘buy more’ and ‘horde’.
Since I’m about to empty my Style Surge lipstick, a coral pink shade, I have decided to pick up Elegant Accent, a warm rose shade. My favorite of the two is still Style Surge but Elegant Accent comes as a very close second.
My favorite liquid foundation everrr! I have reviewed NARS Sheer Glow previously and I have said everything in there so I won’t ramble as much here. The one I reviewed before was shade Santa Fe, which was two shades lighter than my skin tone. This one, Stromboli, is the perfect shade for NC35/Medium Dark.
I bought this loose powder in a whim; wasn’t really supposed to get it but the Sales Attendant in the NARS counter in Hong Kong said that I’ll qualify for their ongoing promo if I purchase two products for the complexion (I intended to buy the Sheer Glow foundation only). I was supposed to get a free 15 ml NARS Tinted Moisturizer only to find out that she placed only a measly 5 ml sample in my shopping bag. I was annoyed at that for a good month, until I got a full sized one.
Anyway, I’m glad I got this loose powder in Eden because I’ve been using it daily ever since! My setting powder used to be MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Dark. That powder made my makeup thick and my skin oily in four hours, but I kept using it anyway. I didn’t look back ever since I started using NARS loose powder.
When used on its own, the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer only gives very light coverage. This product seems like NARS’ entry to the booming BB and CC cream industry (lol). Of course, it’s expensive compared to other BB creams out there considering that this is priced almost the same as the Sheer Glow foundation. Of course, you get more product at 50 ml compared to 30 ml. Rightfully so, as you would be using more product if you want to have decent coverage.
I’ve been looking for a primer that would replace my MAC Skin Base Visage. My choices had been this or Laura Mercier’s. However, this one got the most positive reviews. I wanted something that is luminizing but isn’t glittery; like a cross between a primer and an illuminator that isn’t that obvious. I guess this is the closest thing to that. MAC has very visible glittery specks when swatched but not when applied. NARS Radiance Enhancing primer doesn’t have that kind of glitter, but it does a good job at giving that instant radiant look without being overly shiny.
This little sphere is so cute! I don’t know why I only bought this now when it has been out on a rage for years. Good thing I finally decided to replace my The Body Shop lip balm that I’ve been using daily since, I don’t know, 2011? GROSS RIGHT?
Anyway, I really love the fruity smell of EOS (Evolution of Smooth) Summer Fruit but would love to get my hands on more “flavours”. I bought it for P250 from an online seller I found on Instagram. On a sidenote, I never thought Instagram would boom as a lucrative platform for online selling. It’s like eBay without the ‘buy it now’ button.
